

As the host of The Late Show franchise redux taped at the historic Ed Sullivan Theatre at New York Colbert talks to actors, athletes, politicians, comics, artists and musicians as himself for the first time. ∙ Tearing at the Seams, the band’s 2018 sophomore LP, was produced by Richard Swift (The Black Keys, The Shins) and features the indie-pop band Lucius on “Babe I Know” and “Coolin’ Out.” Improv actor and comic Stephen Colbert leaves his The Colbert Report character behind as he makes his long-awaited return to television. ∙ For 2017’s Black Friday Record Store Day, they released a seasonal vinyl 7-inch containing their smoldering takes on the holiday classics “Baby It’s Cold Outside” and “Santa Baby.” ∙ The band’s amped-up 2017 live album, Live at Red Rocks, closes with a joyous cover of Sam Cooke’s “Having a Party” backed by special guests Preservation Hall Jazz Band. ∙ Upon its release, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats became a Top 10 album in the US, Belgium, and Canada, going on to hit No. ∙ A couple of weeks before the release of their 2015 Gold-selling self-titled debut LP, the band performed “S.O.B.” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats was formed in 2013 as a Southern soul side-project by their frontman after he’d spent a decade performing mostly as a folk-inspired solo act. Their lead single, S.O.B., has already amassed almost 17 million views on YouTube, along with a cool 23 million streams on Spotify.
